This unique combination of advanced Cotes adsorption dehumidification technology and adiabatic evaporative cooling makes it possible to achieve substantially greater cooling effect using much less energy.

Use any available energy

Cotes heat-driven cooling systems can exploit thermal inputs from a wide range of different sources to remove moisture from the air flow, including

  • District heating/cooling systems
  • Solar power installations
  • Any kind of surplus or waste heat (60–70°C)

In fact, you can make use of virtually any low-cost source of thermal energy to provide an important, energy-efficient cooling capability at minimal expense.

This makes these Cotes systems an ideal supplementary capability in pretty much any industrial, commercial or residential air-cooling setup.

 

Advantages and benefits

Traditional cooling solutions provide the required flows of cool air – but the energy bills are big and the outgoing air is full of moisture.

By contrast, Cotes heat-driven cooling systems provide:

  • Cooler air (normally down to approx. 18°C)
  • Air characterised by low levels of fully controlled humidity
  • Hygienic air flows that limit the risk of spreading harmful bacteria

And do so with energy savings of up to 80% compared with traditional air conditioning or conventional second-generation industrial evaporative cooling systems.

And because the Cotes system keeps cold and warm air completely separate, there’s no risk of the spread of potentially harmful bacteria. This can be particularly important in hospitals, schools and other public-sector buildings and facilities.

Stand-alone or supplementary

Cotes heat-driven cooling systems are ideal as energy-efficient stand-alone cooling systems.

They can also be installed as pre-cooling units to supplement existing HVAC installations, providing flows of air characterised by fully controlled levels of relative humidity (normally down to approx. 60–65% relative humidity).
